Get Involved!
I am committed to maintaining a program of research involving students at all levels. When I was an undergraduate research assistant, I gained invaluable knowledge and skills that helped build the foundation of my career. I greatly enjoy sharing my own experiences and enthusiasm for research by mentoring students.
As a research assistant you are able have first-hand experience with all of the stages of psychological research, including reviewing literature, forming hypotheses, designing studies, collecting data, analyzing data, and presenting findings at conferences and/or as publications in journals. These experiences can give you an advantage in your future careers either within or outside of academia.
If you are a student at CofC who wants to get involved in psychology research in the STATS Lab please complete the application below and contact me via email (shortsd@cofc.edu). I look forward to hearing from you!
